Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Status: Interim privacy notice. Give should obtain legal/privacy review before collecting bills, quotes, photos, monitoring data, or other customer files at scale.
What we collect
When you contact Give Industries, we may collect your name, contact details, address or suburb, project details, and any information you choose to provide through our forms, emails, calls, or documents.
For home energy enquiries, this may include electricity bills, solar or battery quotes, switchboard photos, inverter or battery photos, property information, and notes about your energy goals.
Why we collect it
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we can help, prepare internal notes, book calls or site assessments, provide quotes or proposals, deliver electrical or home energy services, manage warranties or support, and keep operational records.
Who can access it
Access is limited to team members and approved service providers who need the information for your enquiry or project. This may include customer support, the home energy team, operations staff, electricians, technical reviewers, administrators, and systems providers.
Bill, quote, and photo uploads
Electricity bills, quotes, and photos can contain personal and property information. We use them only for the purpose of reviewing your enquiry, preparing advice or proposals, checking missing information, and supporting project delivery where you choose to proceed.
Please do not upload sensitive information that is not relevant to your enquiry.
AI-assisted review
Give may use technology to help extract, organise, summarise, or check information. AI does not make final technical, electrical, legal, financial, or compliance decisions. A human reviewer remains responsible for advice, proposals, technical decisions, and customer communications.
Storage and retention
We take reasonable steps to store customer information securely and restrict access. We keep information only for as long as needed for the enquiry, project, legal, compliance, warranty, support, or business record purposes.
For enquiries that do not proceed, we may delete or archive uploaded bills, quotes, and photos under our internal retention process. Final retention periods should be confirmed before the upload workflow is launched at scale.
Third-party systems
We may use trusted third-party systems for website hosting, form handling, file storage, workflow automation, email, customer relationship management, and analytics. For Home Energy enquiries, this may include a restricted shared drive area for uploaded files, workflow automation to route the enquiry, and customer record systems to track consent, tasks, review status, and audit events. We aim to use these systems only where they support appropriate access control and operational security.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for legal, compliance, warranty, safety, or business record reasons.
